Zoë Behrens

My name is Zoë Behrens. I was born in 1995. I am currently a High school Junior in Iowa.

I have always liked drawing and writing, but it wasn't until high school, specificly sophomore year, that I started to put more effort into my work. I wrote my first "good" short story, and I got a blue ribbon on a few of my artworks. I realized I had something going for me, so now I try to put more effort into the stuff I do, and I focus on improving my skills.

My dream is write and direct an animated series on TV. I have these whole worlds in my head, comlete with creatures and characters of many types, just waiting to come out. 

Perhaps my best supporters are my friend Sydney, who is always willing to discuss my latest story in full with creative feedback, and my uncle Mike, who's obsession with poems may have rubbed off on me. Of course the rest of my friends and family have helped a lot as well. My mom has been great with showing me off to people at work and hanging my work around the house. I also love my awesome art teacher Mrs. Thomas and my speech coach Mrs. Mefferd.
